Books ticked off the tbr :

I promised, months and months ago, a sneaky summary of reading from 2021. It didn't come and it didn't come... well finally its here (don't judge!) This year has been stressful and reading has become an escape (when has it not been?!) Series that I can vanish into without much thought has become my go to. I'm sure there were more than these but here's what my Kindle says I've read ;)

The Fae Chronicles by Amelia Hutchins : These are a dark, intense, and raw read. Sometimes disturbing, but definitely hot.

The Lux Series : Obsidian and Oynx  by Jennifer Armentrout : I've only read the first couple but more please! I bit more NA than my normal, but still kept me reading to the end!

The Feral Souls Trilogy by Erica Woods : possessive wolf shifters, a damaged heroine  and slow burn romance

Vampire Instinct : A Vampire Queen Series by Joey W Hill - this was something like book 7 in the series but it was easy to read as a stand alone. Erotica/ BDSM written well - I wasn't sure it was for me, didn't think naturally submissive female MC would work for me. But hell, this was hot.

From Blood and Ash Series : by Jennifer Armentrout. I'm going to make enemies here... but Nope. Just no. I really struggled to like this, to like the characters, to finish the book. Shame because I've liked others by the same author.

The Night Firm Series by Karpov Kinrade - think reverse harem, slow burn. Occasionally I wanted to throw the book (or character) out the window... but definitely will keep an eye out for more by the author.

Magic Mirrors Saga - I ARC read these, not AT ALL what I'd normally pick up. Clever fairy-tale retelling with twists and turns. No Steam. Not a bit... don't expect it! But worth a look!

The Osseous Cronicles by Ivy Asher - banter, suspense, and sexual tension. More New Adult than Young Adult, although the characters still felt young at times.

Outside the paranormal/fantasy romance genres :

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman : a funny, uplifting and moving tale

Elenor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman : heart wrenching, unpredictable, and life-affirming

Cemetery of the Forgotten series by Carloz Zafon LOVE LOVE LOVED this - a gorgeous read especially for all book lovers

The Mental Years by Avery Knight - angsty but well written poetry
